Vuelta a Burgos as a Women's World Tour stage race

We race Vuelta a Burgos for the second occasion, except this time as a Women’s World Tour stage race. The four-day tour starts on Thursday 20 May with a 100km stage from Villadiego to Sargentes de La Lora in Spain.

After a series of hilly one-day races in Spain in the past two weeks, with strong climbing performances especially from Mikayla Harvey and Elise Chabbey, the team is excited to be a part of the newest event on the Women’s World Tour calendar.

Kasia Niewiadoma made a successful return to racing after a small break following her Ardennes Classics campaign, when she finished fourth in yesterday’s race in Durango. Fresh from a stage win at Setmana Valenciana, British road champion Alice Barnes is certain to be looking for every sprint finish opportunity. While both Hannah Barnes and Omer Shapira have been instrumental in being part of, or creating important breakaways in the recent races.
