CANYON//SRAM Generation moves from Spain to racing in the Netherlands for its next block of racing. The team will line up at Veenendaal-Veenendaal Classic on Friday, 17 May. The team’s roster for the UCI 1.1 race will be Zoe Bäckstedt, Diane Ingabire, Maddie Le Roux, Awen Roberts, Daniela Schmidsberger and Ese Lovina Ukperesaye.

The 136.5km course is four laps around the city of Veenendaal in the Netherlands. With a mere 400m of elevation for the course, it’s the flattest race the team has taken on this year. But the many corners, narrow roads and potential for strong winds will challenge the team in a new way.

It’s the first time that 2023 Zwift Academy winner, Maddie will race in the Netherlands. For Diane and Daniela, it will be their second time racing Veenendaal-Veenendaal Classic after both competing in last year’s edition.
