CANYON//SRAM RACING'S ROSTER FOR THÜRINGEN TOUR

CANYON//SRAM Racing starts its home race of the season, the LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour, on Tuesday, June 25. The team’s lineup is Tiffany Cromwell, Justyna Czapla, Nastya Kolesava, Alex Morrice, Kasia Niewiadoma, and Awen Roberts. It will be Awen’s debut race with the World Tour team.

The six-day stage race includes undulating and sprint stages, as well as an individual time trial on stage five. It’s an important stage race preparation for several riders before the upcoming Paris Olympics and is considered CANYON//SRAM Racing’s ‘home’ race given its proximity to the team’s service course in Germany.

Awen has impressed in her first season in the elite ranks, learning the ropes with CANYON//SRAM Generation and is looking forward to step into her first race with the World Tour Team. LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour also marks a return to team racing for Alex who was sidelined for ten weeks due to a finger injury.

Alex Morrice: “Coming back to race the national time trial and road race last week was just amazing to race again after 10 weeks of rehab since my injury. I’ve spent eight weeks riding indoors and two weeks back riding outside. I’m so grateful to be back in a place to race and compete which I love doing. I worked so hard during my recovery to be back in a place to race at Nationals so I can be proud of my races. I’m looking forward to joining the team at LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour.”
