Soraya Paladin Italy

Selfless, driven, unwaveringly committed and a weapon on the bike, Soraya Paladin is a true professional who gives her all for the greater good of the team. On the flip side, when her own opportunities arise, she can be relied upon to perform under pressure and deliver results.

Soraya joined CANYON//SRAM Zondacrypto in 2022 and quickly found her groove, highlighted by a podium finish at Trofeo Alfredo Binda and tremendous efforts in a support role at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift – pivotal to securing the teams classification and third place in the general classification. The 2023 season was arguably her best to date with an impressive 17 top-ten finishes in WorldTour one-day and stage races.

She began 2024 with a 2nd-place finish on a stage at the Tour Down Under and capped off with a 10th-place finish at the European Gravel Championships, shortly after taking 6th at the UCI World Gravel Championships. Soraya also placed 4th at Trofeo Alfredo Binda, marking her fourth top-five finish in as many years, and was frustratingly close to a stage victory at the Giro d’Italia, winning the uphill bunch kick while a solo breakaway claimed the honours. She finished in the top ten on the general classification at both Vuelta a Burgos and RideLondon Classique, further highlighting her dependability, versatility, and tactical acumen across a variety of parcours.

For the Italian rider, extending her contract with CANYON//SRAM Zondacrypto through to 2025 after the first two years was an easy decision.

“I like to have people around that trust me, and I find that at CANYON//SRAM Racing. Having strong teammates pushes me to improve and learn as much as possible from them. I really like and enjoy how we race as a team. I’m making progress as a rider and as a person, and I’m confident that I can become stronger every year.”

Despite consistently achieving top-10 results and excelling at the highest level, Soraya has yet to add a WorldTour win to her palmarès. After quietly knocking on the door for a very long time, a breakthrough in 2025 would be both well received and truly deserved. Forza, Soraya!
