Lisa Klein Germany

Lisa Klein extended her contract with CANYON//SRAM Racing already during the 2019 season. Now, having a five year contract that runs to the end of 2022, the current German individual time trial champion has renewed ambitions for 2021.

“I couldn’t really perform at my best in 2020 due to some persistent health issues. I had some good races, like helping Kasia and the team at the Giro Rosa, where I really enjoyed the team spirit. I had other races that I suffered in and finally I reduced the length of my season in order to take a proper break and get well again.”

“It was the best thing I could have done. My health is now 100% good again, and I’m feeling stronger and better in the off season, than what I was during the races this year. That gives me a lot of confidence. My biggest goal of last season becomes my biggest goal of 2021: the ITT at the Olympic Games. I am also aiming to race the Team Pursuit on the track in Tokyo.”
