Jule Märkl Germany

Immersed in cycling from a young age, Jule Märkl has regularly competed across track, cyclocross and road disciplines, with her standout achievement being her selection to represent Germany as a junior at the UCI Road World Championships in both Wollongong and Glasgow. Following in the footsteps of her older brother, a long-time professional, her ultimate goal has always been to become a pro cyclist herself.

Reflecting on her first season with CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto Generation in 2024, the then 19-year-old highlighted the challenges of transitioning into the open ranks:

“I found the step from the junior to the elite category physically and mentally hard. Fortunately, I had strong support from the team and learned many things about tactics, what it means to be a professional rider, and how every team member contributes to the team’s goals.”

In 2025, Jule continued her steady upward trajectory, recording her best UCI result at elite level with 11th at Giro dell’Appennino Donne Elite, following strong podium performances at Volta a Osona on stages won by teammate and friend Jöelle Messemer.

With plenty of talent and untapped potential, Jule embarks on her third year with the Generation squad. Reflecting on her development, she says:

“I am proud to have slowly grown into elite racing and have gotten to know myself better as a rider. My goal for next year is to be more consistent over the whole season and to further develop my physical strength, so I can play a bigger role in the races and help the team better.”
