Diane Ingabire Rwanda

Diane Ingabire, the three-time consecutive Rwandan National Road Race and Time Trial Champion, extended her contract with CANYON//SRAM Generation for a third season, running through until the end of 2025.

Over her seven years as a cyclist, Diane has achieved significant success, with no fewer than eight podium finishes at the African Continental Championships on the road. In 2024, she secured her first gold medal at the event, winning the mixed team relay with the Rwandan National Team. Earlier that year, she also earned a noteworthy bronze medal in the criterium at the African Games. Additionally, in 2023, Diane podiumed in all five stages of the Tour du Burundi Féminin, winning two stages and claiming the overall general classification title.

Diane has also represented Rwanda on the global stage at prestigious events such as the Commonwealth Games and the UCI Road World Championships. Most notably, she became an Olympian, competing in both the Time Trial and Road Race at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

“One of my proudest achievements this season was competing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It was a culmination of hard work and dedication, and it reinforced my belief in my capabilities as a cyclist. This experience has motivated me to aim even higher and push my limits.”

During her time with CANYON//SRAM Zondacrypto Generation, Diane has made tremendous strides in her development. With a clear focus on honing her craft even further, she is especially motivated for 2025, aiming for an event that may hold even greater significance than her Olympic debut.

“For the upcoming season, I aim to compete at higher-level races and secure a few podium finishes. I also want to focus on enhancing my teamwork skills, contributing to our collective success as a team and to try my personal best at the 2025 UCI Road World Championships in Rwanda.”

CANYON//SRAM Generation is confident that Diane will give everything to represent her country on home soil and make her mark on this historic occasion – the first time in the 103-year history of the UCI Road World Championships that the event is to be held on the African continent.
