Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig Denmark
A household name in global cycling, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig joined CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto in 2025 after an already remarkable career spanning more than 12 years, which began when she was just 17.
Since claiming her first WorldTour podium at the 2018 Trofeo Alfredo Binda, the dynamic Dane has been a regular presence at the sharp end of women’s cycling, consistently showcasing her punchy, passionate style and delivering across all terrains.
Cecilie’s palmarès includes podiums at some of the most coveted one-day races, including Strade Bianche, Ronde van Vlaanderen, and Flèche Wallonne. However, it wasn’t until 2021 that she achieved her first WorldTour win, taking a stage at the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas. She then raised the bar in 2022, capturing a superb stage win at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift and overall victory at the Tour of Scandinavia. In 2023, Cecilie added two more stage wins at the Tour of Scandinavia, a second Giro dell’Emilia title, and a bronze medal at the UCI Road World Championships.
Although known for her lively personality and infectious enthusiasm, Cecilie is equally defined by her relentless determination and is no stranger to overcoming adversity. Reflecting on a pivotal moment from the 2022 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, she recalls:
“Sometimes you gain strength through hard times. For example, in the first Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, most of the team crashed on stage 2, and we lost a lot of time in the general classification. But the day after, we managed to bounce back and win the stage. That’s one of the proudest moments of my career. Never give up.”
With a career already rich in achievements, joining CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto marked an exciting new chapter for Cecilie – a vibrant personality perfectly matched to the team’s typically bold colours.
