RIDER REACTIONS TO THE 2025 TOUR DE FRANCE FEMMES AVEC ZWIFT ROUTE

The 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift official route has been announced today in Paris, France, in front of a fully-packed auditorium. Starting in Brittany for the opening three stages, the nine-day stage race then moves steadily east to the French Alps. It’s the first time in the four-year history that the race will be nine days in length Two flat stages, three undulating stages, two medium mountain stages and two high mountain stages make up the parcours.

The queen stage will be the penultimate day with a summit finish on the Col de la Madeleine after 18.6km of climbing at an average gradient ticking over 8%. Kasia Niewiadoma, the 2024 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift winner, says the course looks to have diverse stages that can suit several riders. RIDER REACTIONS

Kasia Niewiadoma: “It’s nice to see the diversity of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift route. There are a lot of opportunities for different types of riders. I believe the first stage can suit our team quite well, looking at the little uphill finish, and we can be excited to aim for the first yellow jersey of the tour with one of my teammates.

Overall, I was guessing that we might have had longer and harder stages every day but instead, there is a mix. Jokingly, I’m a little sad not to see a team time trial, as I was somehow expecting and looking forward to that. But the Col du Madeleine will make us suffer enough, so the earlier short stages might balance things out. I like the 2025 course overall.

I’m excited to see the course and understand what to work on. It’s a goal to bring the yellow jersey home again. My big goal is to become a woman who wins the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift twice in a row, and I’m in the best position right now to make that happen in 2025. The final general classification can unfold at any point but the final three stages will be decisive for the overall.”

Neve Bradbury: “I quite like the course. Nine stages without a rest day and no time trial. There are only two sprint stages and there are a lot of hard stages. I would say it looks harder than the 2024 route. For us as a team, we’re excited. I believe it can suit our strengths.”

Alice Towers: “It looks like a nice nine-day course starting in Brittany. Again, it’s back-ended with the mountains on the final weekend which will make for an exciting finale. We can start thinking about next year already. It’s not just the final weekend that’s hard, it’s going to be a tough race throughout, especially as we get deeper into the race. We need to keep the same approach as we did in 2024 as we found the recipe for success.”
