The first stage of the Tour de l’Ardèche is done, and it proved to be a tough opening. After 1500m+ of elevation packed into just 88km, Nastya Kolesava crossed the line as CANYON//SRAM Generation’s best-placed finisher in fourteenth.

Nastya said, “It was a really fast start as team’s were going for the first points at the intermediate sprint after 4km. The first climb immediately followed. On the second climb I was in the third group, but I could manage my pace and eventually the second and third groups came back together. I felt stronger on the third climb, and finished fourth in the sprint from our group. It was a hard start to the stage race.’
