CANYON//SRAM Generation has its first race of the 2024 season at Sunday’s Craywinckelhof Omloop van het Hageland. The team’s roster for the 129km race will be Nastya Kolesava, Jule Märkl, Awen Roberts and Daniela Schmidsberger. Justyna Czapla and Alex Morrice from the World Tour Team will join the squad for the race.

Starting in Aarschot, the peloton completes a series of circuits before finishing in Tielt-Winge. The parcours is a mixture of cobblestone sectors and small hills, including Houwaartseberg and Tieltsestraat. The Roeselberg climb comes just seven kilometres before the finish line and will provide one of the last opportunities for a late attack from a rider looking to avoid a sprint finish.

Daniela says, “After training at home in Austria for a lot of the winter I feel I’m prepared for whatever the weather will be like on Sunday. We have a strong team for the race, with Justyna, Alex and Nastya already finished a stage race last week. I’m really looking forward to starting the season and getting to work with my new teammates. Looking at the course and previous race broadcasts we can expect a hard race with a lot of fighting for positioning. But I feel confident that we can have quite a good race.”
