CROMWELL AND BRADBURY READY TO TAKE ON THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Hot off two bronze medal performances in the U23 ITT and Criterium races at the Australian national road championships, Neve Bradbury is looking forward to tomorrow’s road race. Neve will pair up with teammate Tiffany Cromwell for the 104km, 9-lap course around Buninyong in Victoria on Sunday, 7 January.

Neve says, “I’m happy with getting two third places in the U23 in my first races of the season. It’s still early days, but it’s a good start. Tomorrow, I aim that Tiff and I work together and can help be a part of a hard race. I’d like to give the U23 title a shot again, with it being my last year in that category.”

Tiffany says, “I’m going into the race with an open mind. No big expectations or pressure on myself. I only decided two weeks ago to race it, and the main aim is to use the race as both an opener ahead of TDU next week and to see how much work I still have to do. I’ve done some good training recently. It will be nice to race on Aussie soil again, and there’s a good atmosphere on course. If I’m feeling strong, I will see what I can do with Neve to help bring the Aussie bands to the team. At the least, I’ll use the race for a good taste of hard intensity and to help Neve get the best result in the U23 classification.”

The women’s race starts at 09:20AEDT. It can be followed on X with #RoadNats and #RoadNats24, and at 10:30AEDT, a live broadcast starts on SBS, SBS on Demand and Fox Sports.
