Pauline Ferrand-Prévot to race at Nové Mêsto MTB world cup
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot will tomorrow race her first UCI MTB World Cup of the season when she lines up for CANYON//SRAM Racing at Nové Mêsto in the Czech Republic.
It will be the most technical course Ferrand-Prévot has raced on this year, with the 4.1km circuit expected to bring some tight racing. Full of obstacles, fast descents and challenging uphills, it is also the favourite race on the MTB calendar for many riders. The event has again attracted a class field with all of the top fifteen UCI ranked women taking to the start on Saturday 20 May.
Ferrand-Prévot, the French MTB champion said she is looking forward to the race. “I am really enjoying the MTB and I look forward to seeing how the race is tomorrow. It’s always a nice race with a good crowd and atmosphere. The course is technical but a good one, and I have been training on it the last days so we see what will happen tomorrow.”
The race starts at 13:15 hours (CEST) and can be followed online here and on Twitter with #UCIMTBwc and #mtbnmnm.
