Omer takes 3rd on GC in Colorado
Our first time at the 2.1 Colorado Classic, around Denver, Colorado saw Omer Shapira take third on a stage, while Ella Harris and Tanja Erath each narrowly missed podiums in other stages.
For the consistent efforts, the team won the team classification, and Omer Shapira finished third in the general classification.
“I’m super happy and excited about my result,” said Omer Shapira. “I came into the race very focused and motivated! It was an amazing feeling to pass the line on Sunday and understand that I achieved a GC podium.”
“I found the race in Colorado a lot of fun and much easier on a technical level, which I know is my weakest point. I’m happy but realistic because I know in order to the rider I want to be, I need to perform like this also in Europe: to come over on my fears of the technical parts at high speed, and when there’s high tension in the peloton. I believe I can and will! In general, the team did well and we were committed. It was also nice to have an experienced rider like Tiffany (Cromwell) bringing me into position before each climb and giving me full belief throughout the tour,” added Omer.
