NEVE BRADBURY BEGINS ROAD BACK FROM ILIAC ARTERY ENDOFIBROSIS

Having established herself as one of the breakout performers of 2024, CANYON//SRAM rider Neve Bradbury underwent surgery on June 2 to treat iliac artery endofibrosis. The procedure went well, and now she begins a period of rehabilitation and recovery.

A member of the team since 2021, Neve has shown flashes of her top level throughout the 2025 and 2026 seasons, most impressively finishing third in the fiercely contested road race at January’s Australian National Championships. However, it has largely been a frustrating and disheartening period for the 24-year-old, who has been unable to fully rediscover the form that brought her stage wins at the 2024 Tour de Suisse and Giro d’Italia Women, as well as a Grand Tour podium and a U23 World Championships medal.

“I’ve been told that the surgery went really well, and that I’ve got the worst of it out of the way, so I’m excited for the road ahead. I keep motivated by having faith that I’ll be back at the pointy end of races again”, Neve says.

CANYON//SRAM team doctor Carola Lamm elaborated on Neve’s condition and the immediate priorities following surgery.

“Her symptoms included a heavy leg, a lack of strength, and a foot that would go numb. Now, we need to ensure the wounds heal well and that we avoid excessive scar tissue formation around the surgical area. It’s also important that she returns to normal day-to-day function as quickly as possible.”

After most recently racing at La Vuelta Femenina in May, the remainder of Neve’s 2026 season will depend on how her recovery progresses. The early signs have been encouraging; however, it remains too early to determine when she will be able to return to riding, structured training and ultimately racing.

“We will monitor her progress over the coming weeks,” said Carola.
