CANYON//SRAM GENERATION AT MORBIHAN RACES
CANYON//SRAM Generation is preparing for back-to-back UCI 1.1 races this weekend in Morbihan, France. The team will line up with a 6-rider squad for La Classique Morbihan on Friday, 5 May and GP Morbihan Femmes on Saturday, 6 May.
Its roster will be Justyna Czapla, Agua Marina Espinola Salinas, Nesrine Houili, Alex Morrice, Dani Schmidsberger and Llori Sharpe. For Morrice, it’s a small block of races that she’s joining the team from her usual CANYON//SRAM Racing World Tour Team.
Alex says, “I’m really looking forward to the next couple of races in Morbihan with the Generation team. It’s really great I have had the opportunity to race with them. I’ve been building my confidence a lot from the start of the season, and I can continue to do this in these races, as we can expect a large number of riders on the start list from top-quality teams.”
“The parcours for the two races are rolling and on narrow roads, with the wind playing a large factor. We can expect positioning to be crucial in every critical moment of the race. This race parcours suits me better to my strengths, so, as always, I will give 100% commitment to being competitive to the end. Most importantly, I take a lot of learning from every race, especially positioning and confidence in the peloton. I have found there are always opportunities to learn from new situations in every race. I aim to work with the team as much as possible as we have built a lot of teamwork from the last few races together, which has shown good results together.”
La Classique Morbihan starts at 12:20CEST on Friday, 5 May. The race has no live coverage planned. The following day, GP Morbihan Femmes starts at 08:50CEST around the city of Plumelec. The race is broadcast live on GCN and Eurosport from 10:30CEST.
