NEVE BRADBURY WINS THE BEST YOUNG RIDER CLASSIFICATION AT LOTTO THURINGEN TOUR

Neve Bradbury secured the Best Young Rider classification following the final stage of the Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour today in Mülhausen, Germany. CANYON//SRAM Racing had just three riders for the second half of the tour and worked well together to ensure Neve kept the jersey after leading since the second stage.

Neve said, “After we had the jersey in our team since the TTT on stage one, we wanted to keep it. I needed to make sure I didn’t lose time with the others close to me, mainly riders from the AG Insurance team. I tried to make breakaways, but it was difficult to get into anything that really stayed away. I also made sure that there were none of my competitors in breakaways that could gain any bonus seconds.”

“There were no real danger moments as the gap was around 8 seconds for the second half of the tour. It’s nice to win the U23 jersey, especially after my first race back since breaking my elbow. It’s a nice step in the right direction for my next goals, which are in July.”

Neve finished seventh in the general classification at +1:31 from the winner Lotte Kopecky (SDW). Teammates Justyna Czapla and Diane Ingabire finished the tour, their first time racing at the UCI 2.PRO level.
