Elena 6th on stage 3
A ‘short’ 94km, with three laps around the city of Dörtendorf today didn’t dampen the activity in the peloton on stage three of Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour.
Breakaway after breakaway went and came back. In the final climb to the finish, atop the “Hankaberg”, Vita Heine (Hitec) made a late, solo attack.
Heine would stay away until the finish, ahead of Lianne Lipert (SUN) and Marta Bastianelli (VRT). Elena Cecchini was our best placed rider in 6th position.
