TIFFANY CROMWELL EXTENDS FOR 11TH YEAR WITH CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto
CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto is pleased to announce that highly valued dual-discipline rider Tiffany Cromwell has renewed her contract for the 2026 season.
A long-standing pillar of the women’s peloton, Tiffany is the only remaining rider from the original CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto line-up that debuted in 2016. Over the past decade, she has been a constant presence throughout both the team’s evolution and the remarkable transformation of women’s cycling as a whole. She’s happy to be extending that journey further.
“Obviously it is great to be continuing with the team for another year and having the support and belief from Ronny, and the team behind me to keep going.”
Team manager Ronny Lauke highlights why the seasoned Australian remains an essential part of the squad:
“Tiffany has been a key part of our team for the past ten years, and it’s been great to witness her growth as both a rider and team leader, consistently performing at the highest level. She brings experience and reliability to the team, and her professionalism and commitment sets a great example for everyone around her. Our partners also benefit from her valuable insights and constructive feedback, which play an important role in product development and innovation. Tiffany is a strong role model and helps sets a positive culture within the team and we’re very pleased to have her with us for another season.”
Tiffany elaborates on her own personal reasons for staying.
“The team has definitely become my home in cycling; a place where I’ve felt I can be myself and always feel supported and challenged through all the highs and lows of my career. There have been many constants – the biggest is the amount of partners that are still with the team since day one. That says a lot about the meaningful partnerships that have been created and continue to support our team, while also helping to grow the sport. The other constant is the way the team operates. They’ve always looked to do things differently; taking the lead by thinking outside the box to help in growing the sport. Projects like Zwift Academy and our Generation team are two examples. It’s also always been a team who try to find young talent and help grow their careers. There have been times I’ve considered moving to other teams during my career, but in the end I’ve always stayed because I’m happy here. I’m valued for what I can bring to the team with my experience, and I feel valued by my teammates. I’ve also been given opportunities to explore gravel racing in order to help renew my motivation.”
In recent years, Tiffany has balanced a dual-focus calendar, first exploring gravel racing in 2019 before fully embracing it in 2022 as one of the early pioneers of the rapidly growing professional off-road scene. After announcing her return from an injury-disrupted 2025 spring with victory at the Australian National Gravel Championships, she embarked on a season that spanned seven gravel events, including UNBOUND Gravel in late May and the UCI Gravel World Championships in mid-October, alongside key road appearances. Those included the Giro d’Italia Women, where Antonia Niedermaier claimed the Maglia Blanca, the Tour de Pologne Women which saw Chiara Consonni take two stage wins and the overall title, and the Maryland Cycling Classic, won by Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka. It’s hardly a coincidence that Tiffany was part of the team for all three triumphs, along with many others throughout the years.
“These days I’d say my main role within the team now is definitely being that leader. Not for results but for leading by example; helping our younger riders develop and giving my knowledge to the team from the years of experience I have in the sport. And sometimes, being the calm head and voice between the riders and the staff.”
“There’s been many proud moments with the team so far. But one of the nicest memories for me personally was winning the teams classification in the first Tour de France Femmes Avec Zwift, and having Kasia on the final GC podium. It was a pretty cool moment to be apart of – being at that race for the first time, having such a strong race as a team and seeing a big step forward for women’s cycling.”
Heading into her eleventh season with CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto, her drive and ambition remain strong.
“For sure, I have some aims for the 2026 season. I have unfinished business at Sanremo Women after crashing out this year, but also for the classics in general. I’m always striving to be strong during this period to help the team in the biggest races. I’d like to be strong enough to be considered for the TDFFAZ team in 2026 and to help the team there, especially with it finishing in Nice. The final day I know super well, so it would be pretty cool to race there on ‘home roads’. And, the biggest goal and reason to continue for another season is the UCI Gravel World Championships in Australia. It’s going to be a true gravel world champs – a proper course and one I’ve won on twice before. I know the depth will be much stronger but it’s still a big goal for me.”
With the announcement of Tiffany’s contract extension, CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto finalises its 16-rider UCI WorldTeam roster for 2026, comprising of: Wilma Aintila, Zoe Bäckstedt, Neve Bradbury, Chiara Consonni, Tiffany Cromwell, Justyna Czapla, Chloé Dygert, Nastya Kolesava, Rosa Klöser, Maria Martins, Antonia Niedermaier, Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney, Soraya Paladin, Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka, Maike van der Duin and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig.
Announcements for the 2026 contract renewals and signings of the 10-rider UCI Continental CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto Generation will follow soon.
