CROMWELL AND BRADBURY WITH NEW CONTRACT EXTENSIONS

CANYON//SRAM Racing is delighted to announce contract extensions for Neve Bradbury and Tiffany Cromwell. The two Australian riders will stay with the team through to 2027 and 2025, respectively.

Cromwell has ridden with CANYON//SRAM Racing since the team’s inaugural season in 2016, growing into a leadership role and combining a successful gravel racing program in recent years. Last year, Cromwell won six gravel races, including Unbound 100 and the European Gravel Championships, and was a key rider for the team’s road successes, especially known for her tactical knowledge and experience in critical race situations.

Bradbury’s development path from winning the Zwift Academy in 2020 into a world-class climber has been rewarded with a stellar 2024 season to date, including general classification podiums at the Tour Down Under, UAE Tour, Tour de Suisse and Giro d’Italia. The young Australian is looking forward to another three seasons with CANYON//SRAM Racing after extending her contract earlier this season through to the end of 2027.

RIDER REACTIONS

Neve Bradbury: “The decision to stay with CANYON//SRAM Racing was easy. I knew I didn’t want to leave, so I didn’t think twice when offered the contract extension. I have thoroughly enjoyed racing with the team over the last four years. Since 2021, I have grown a lot as a rider thanks to the support from the team, team partners, and equipment. I have bonded with my teammates and staff in a way I never thought I would. We have a nice group here that feels like a family.

The team backs me 100%, which gives me the confidence to believe in myself, which is a massive performance booster. We work together to make sure we are getting all the marginal gains. This year, I have had a couple of stage wins and GC podiums. Next year, I want to make it to the top step for the GC and bring in some more wins. I only focused a little on any classics this year, so I’m excited to pay more attention to them and see what I can do for the team.”

Tiffany Cromwell: “Over my time with CANYON//SRAM Racing, I’ve gone through many different versions of myself as a rider. When I first started with the team, it was during a period when I was sprinting quite strongly and was often one of the last in the lead-out train or, sometimes, having the opportunity to sprint. I’ve always been an opportunistic rider. Although I don’t have so many big results, the results I have have come when I’ve had the opportunity to take a chance in more unexpected moments. I had some quieter and more challenging years, too, for one reason or another. The team always supported me during these moments.

When Trixi (Worrack) left the team at the end of 2018, I started to take on the road captain and leadership roles to help develop our younger riders by sharing the experience I’ve gained. I still play that role these days, but it’s especially rewarding when the results with the younger riders are coming in that we’re seeing lately.

I’ve also been able to step into gravel racing in the last few seasons, which has been rewarding. I’ve been enjoying the challenge and fighting for results and victories.

It was a relatively easy decision to extend my contract with CANYON//SRAM Racing. I had considered continuing in the sport or stopping at the end of this year. In the end, we decided to go for one more year. Then, did I want to stay with the team or explore another opportunity? But with the point in my career where I’m at and my relationship with the team and all the team partners I’ve developed over the years, I wanted to stay. It is like family. I have the unique opportunity to race in road and gravel, and I love working with the brands supporting our team.

It’s a balancing act managing my gravel and road programs, but we’re getting the two programs aligned better with every season. There are challenges in making them both work, especially when major events overlap. But it’s nice to have the team’s support in creating the best calendar between the two disciplines to suit my and the team’s needs on the road.

I’m always striving to get the most out of myself. If I had to think about my goals for 2025 now, I would want to win more gravel races and keep pushing myself on the road to be the best teammate in the major races and help us bring home the victories. I want to enjoy the year and get the most out of myself so that I finish my career, whenever that will be, with no regrets.”
