A new design for La Course by Le Tour
Our new design for one race only!!!
Rapha have today revealed a special edition kit that we will swap into when the team races in the French Alps at La Course by Le Tour on 20 July. Arguably the biggest one day race on the women’s calendar, the team will showcase a design from top to toe inspired by the Rapha Women’s 100, a global event aimed at encouraging more women to ride more often.
“The special edition kit will bring a unique level of attention from the cycling community to an already-unique, high-profile women’s race. The design itself will bring an element of grace to the slopes of the Col d’Izoard,” said Alexis Ryan.
Ryan’s teammate Tiffany Cromwell believes the change out will heighten the attention on La Course by Le Tour and hopes that it encourage women to participate in the Rapha Women’s 100 on 23 July. ” We have this opportunity to put a spotlight on the sport by making a bold statement, but then going one step further and telling the story behind why we are doing it.”
“I’m excited to inspire women to ride. Cycling is a great way to connect with other like-minded women who encourage and inspire each other, and enjoy together the freedom that cycling brings you,” said Cromwell.
Ryan added “I want every woman to experience and appreciate the freeing feeling of riding a bicycle, the feeling I feel every day of my life.”
Canyon have produced a Rapha Women’s 100 inspired Canyon Aeroad CF SLX and Ultimate CF SLX road bikes that the team will race at La Course by Le Tour. The team’s other partners have also produced special edition items for the race including Giro Synthe helmets, Oakley eyewear and Boa system dials for their cycling shoes.
The team races the special design for one day only at La Course by Le Tour on July 20, while the Rapha Women’s 100 takes place three days later on 23 July.
