It was a hard-fought second place to our team today in the Sweden Vargarda TTT! Trek-Segafredo took the win, 25 seconds ahead of our team, with Sunweb a further 19 seconds behind in third.

“Overall the TTT was good for us to finish with a podium. For a lot of us it was the first TTT of the year which was evident in some parts and we could have improved our smoothness. For me personally I was happy with how I rode not feeling great at the start, but being able to finish strong.”

“The TTT was fast and furious,. We were strong and we tried our best, and at first we were little bit disappointed with our second place. During the race we did some mistakes, but it’s the first time this group did a TTT together since Innsbruck. Finally, we enjoyed our second place because it is always nice to be on the podium!”

“The TTT was good for us. It wasn’t the smoothest one we’ve ever done but we can be happy with our second place especially that we started with only five riders.”

“We suffered in the TTT and we earned second for it. Since in some points we could have done better, we didn’t prepare a lot for it, and we started with five, it doesn’t make an excuse but it means that we should be proud of our second place. For me personally, I had mixed feelings afterwards because I had super good legs but on the other hand I wasn’t using them to make the team smooth.”

“The TTT was good, we gave our best, and tried to honour our title. We didn’t have a lot of time to practice all together but it felt okay and we are happy with the result.”
